Miriam Sadler
Senior Associate | Property & Commercial
Miriam Sadler is a Senior Associate in McCarthy Durie Lawyers’ Property and Commercial team, based in our Brisbane office. Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2015, Miriam brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to all aspects of commercial and property transactions.
After earning her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from QUT, Miriam began her legal career as a chambers and research clerk to a Brisbane-based barrister. This early experience gave her broad exposure to complex matters across insolvency, family, and criminal law—experience that continues to inform her practical and strategic legal advice today.
Since shifting her focus to property and commercial law in 2016, Miriam has developed strong expertise in:
Commercial and retail shop leasing
Business sales and acquisitions (including asset and share sales)
Put and call option agreements
Large-scale property development transactions
Off-the-plan and rural property sales and purchases
Miriam is also an experienced presenter, having delivered a CPD training session for LegalWise on lease assignment principles and risks in 2018. Her passion for research continues to drive her interest in niche legal areas such as charity law and Indigenous legal issues.
Miriam is known for her professionalism, precision, and genuine commitment to achieving commercially sound outcomes for her clients.
